Submitting a Song to Glad Music Company

• Submit your recordings in any standard recording medium:  audio cassette, audio compact disc, or MP3 digital recording.

• When submitting cassette tapes, use a padded envelope. For compact disc, be sure to use a rigid case or envelope.  Fold the lyric sheets and wrap them around the tape or CD case, using a rubber band to hold them in place. Go to the post office window to mail the package or else affix sufficient postage and mark the words "HAND CANCEL" clearly on the package.

• Be sure to enclose proof of copyright or written request for assistance in obtaining copyright for you.  No action will be taken toward copyrighting your song until or unless we deem it one that we want to handle for you and you have been contacted pursuant to same.

• If you want your recording returned to you, be sure to  use an envelope adequate to handle the mailing of the  materials you send. Also, be sure to affix sufficient  postage.

• Make your submission look professional, even if it's the first song you've ever submitted. Type your labels. Type or print via word processor, your lyric sheets. Cover  letters should be brief and to the point, and should also be typewritten.

• Finally, be sure you provide us with sufficient information to either return your recording or contact you about its possible publication!  Address, telephone number, fax number, email address...send them all, please!
