Pappy
Daily Scholarship Fund, created by H.W. "Bud" Daily, Jr.,
provides $2,000 each year to Wimberly High School (Wimberly, Texas)
graduating seniors going on to continue in music at an institution of
higher learning in Texas or elsewhere.
Usually presented in amounts of
$1,000 each to a male and female graduate, the awards go to students
selected by the Wimberly High School band director and school
counselors. Scholastic record and character are among the
considerations for selecting the award recipients.
For the year 2002 graduating
class, three students were selected: Elizabeth McDaid, Melissa Esteps
and Tim Wilson.
The awards were presented by Cory Rush, Pappy Daily's great grandson. |
